Meet Our Board Members:

  • Arlene Williams –Executive Director
    The Executive Director has more than 14 years of experience working with both youth and senior citizens. It is her work with each of these groups that helped her to develop this innovative strategy to meet a consistent and epidemic community need. Her business management skills have been a great asset for building the foundation of a successful, nonprofit organization. Her experience includes business administration, product development, marketing, and sales.
  • Phyllis McNeal – President
    Phyllis M. McNeal, a native of New York, has a Masters Degree in Education from Queens College, New York, and a Masters Degree in Administration/ Supervision from Pace University, New York. She has worked in education for over thirty years including the New York Board of Education and the Department of Corrections. In both New York and Atlanta, Phyllis, has provided literacy, self-esteem and parent workshops to women living in Homeless Shelters. Also, she developed curricula for workshops in Parenting and Pregnancy Prevention for churches and the Boys and Girls Clubs in the Atlanta metro area for Planned Parenthood and Emory University.
  • Kinda Berkel- Vice President
    Kinda Berkel works for a global company where she effectively joins talented engineers to top-notch clients in the South East region. For the past seven years, she has a proven history of growth in volume and revenue and proven negotiation skills. As a knowledgeable engineering professional, she has exclusive opportunities with respected clients. Kinda is known as a trusted advisor who focuses on her client’s needs and supports them in this changing world of work.
  • Suzzanne Pope- Executive Secretary
    Suzzanné Pope runs a company called, Universal Virtual Office Assistants, Inc., (UVOA, Inc.), a virtual administrative assistance company established in 2003. From the traditional titles such as, Secretary, Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, etc., every business needs an office assistant. Suzanné’s 25+ year’s experience has become an indispensable element that our foundation cannot do without.
  • Michelle Hamilton-Treasurer
    She has over five years of auditing experience with organizations and companies of all sizes and industries including SEC registrants as well as small not for profit entities. Ms. Hamilton holds a B.B.A. in Business from the University of Georgia where she graduated magna cum laude. She also graduated with a Masters of Accountancy degree from the University of Georgia. Ms. Hamilton is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and passed all four parts of the CPA exam in the first sitting.
